Introducing Red Beauty Holly, a stunning pyramidal-shaped evergreen shrub with lush, glossy, dark green foliage and vibrant red berries that brighten your space from fall through winter.
Red Beauty holly grows best in USDA zones 6-10 and thrives in full sun to part shade. It prefers well-drained, average soil. At maturity, this plant can grow up to 7-10 feet tall and about 4-5 feet wide.
As a female plant, Red Beauty holly requires a male pollinator such as Blue Prince, Blue Boy, or Blue Stallion to produce those beautiful red berries.
This plant is perfect for adding winter interest and can make a lovely statement as a pair to frame an entrance or driveway, or as a hedge when massed together.
Scientific name: Red Beauty Holly Ilex x 'Rutzan' PP14750, or simply Red Beauty Holly. Part of the Ilex Holly family.
